Baby fleece blanket
A made-in-France blanket with organic cotton fleece
We've designed our baby blankets to be warm, soft and eco-friendly. That's why our baby blankets are bi-material, with one side in Oeko-Tex cotton gauze or GOTS-certified organic cotton, and the other in GOTS-certified 100% organic cotton fleece. All finished with pretty gold or linen piping, depending on the model.
The baby blanket, a daily ally
This blanket for little ones is so practical, you can take it with you wherever you go to warm up baby in the stroller or car, or use it at home as the end of a bed or a little plaid.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When can I put a blanket on my baby?
Use from 0 to 18 months
Baby plaid can be used from birth, but only if your baby is supervised!
In fact, before the age of 18 months, there's a risk of suffocation when sleeping under a blanket or plaid. At this age, baby doesn't yet have the necessary reflexes to free himself if he finds himself trapped underneath. That's why health professionals recommend using a sleeping bag for unsupervised naps or during the night.
During the day, on the other hand, a pretty baby blanket can become a cocooning ally during walks, playtime or supervised naps, to keep your child nice and warm, as long as you stay by his side to look after him.
After 18 months
The good news is that from 18 months onwards, babies are generally able to free themselves if they find themselves in an uncomfortable position.
However, if your child has a tendency to uncover, or if the sleeping bag continues to reassure him while he sleeps, you can continue to use it. In fact, there are sleeping bags for children aged 24 to 36 months, perfect for prolonging this cocoon of softness and security.
Which baby blanket to choose at birth?
Unfortunately, 99% of baby blankets on the market are made of polyester, a synthetic material often chosen for its attractive price and ease of care. But beware: polyester is not breathable, which can cause baby to overheat and sweat.
If you want the best for your little one, it's best to invest in a natural, comfortable material. For this, we recommend a organic cotton blanket. At Cocoeko, we've taken the initiative of replacing polyester fleece with this 100% natural material.
Our plaid has two reversible sides: one in Sherpa and the other in cotton gauze, available in a range of colors to suit all tastes!
What's in it for you? Organic cotton is breathable in both summer and winter, helping to regulate baby's temperature and prevent overheating. What's more, it's a soft, hypoallergenic material that respects the sensitive skin of toddlers. And we're not going to lie: in addition to being made in France, choosing a natural and organic material is also an ethical and ecological choice that's good for the planet. 🌿
Finally, to make your baby's plaid truly unique, why not opt for a personalized personalized blanket ? Embroidering your baby's name on the cotton gauze side will turn it into a special object, filled with love and memories.
Don't forget to add it to your birth list! It will be perfect as a gift or to immortalize her first sweet moments in the maternity ward.
How big is a baby blanket?
We recommend the 75 x 90 cm format, ideal for a toddler. Why would we do this? Because this size is perfectly adapted to his needs, whether for a newborn or a slightly larger baby. Neither too big nor too small, it allows you to cover baby in his crib, stroller or bouncer, without the risk of crowding him.
With its compact dimensions, a 75 x 90 cm blanket is also easy to handle and take everywhere: on a walk, in the car or for an impromptu nap. It's also a practical size, so it doesn't drag on the floor or become difficult to store.
